Preview Fortnite: Prepare for Season 2 with a Special Mini-Story Event on March 14

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1, which has continued for an unexpectedly long duration, is finally nearing its end. In anticipation of the upcoming narrative events for Season 2, a new mini-story event is scheduled for this Saturday.

This crucial event will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the following local times:

  • Mexico: 2:30 p.m. CST
  • Colombia, Peru, Ecuador: 3:30 p.m. COT/PET/ECT
  • Argentina, Chile: 5:30 p.m. ART/CLT
  • Spain: 9:30 p.m. CET

To experience the event, players need to be actively in a Battle Royale or Zero Build match at the precise moment it begins and look towards ‘Lethal Labs’ in the center of the map. Damage will be deactivated a few minutes beforehand to ensure an undisturbed viewing experience, but it will be re-enabled once the event concludes.

This Fortnite mini-story event on March 14 will focus on the Dark Traveler’s machinations and their preparations for a significant confrontation with The Seven. Accompanying this announcement was a new cinematic trailer, illustrating how the Traveler manages to secure another fragment of the Zero Point, with the unwilling assistance of a threatened Fishstick.

Immediately after the event, the ‘Power Hour’ will commence. For one hour, Fortnite Battle Royale and Zero Build matches will feature these special modifiers:

  • Supercharged XP will be active.
  • All players will begin with a Flight Suit, The Seven’s Cluster Cannon, and a Revive Device.
  • A ‘Gold Rush’ Rift Anomaly will appear at the start of matches.
  • Glider redeployment will be possible at any time while airborne.
  • The Storm will form the shape of the number ‘7’.
  • More Points of Interest will be classified as Legendary, containing rare chests.

The Power Hour will reoccur the following Sunday at the same specified time, but the mini-story event itself is not expected to be repeated.

Fortnite is a free-to-play game with optional in-game purchases, available across multiple platforms including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, iOS and Android mobile devices, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
