Bologna Reportedly Target Lorenzo Lucca Following Difficult Spells at Napoli and Nottingham Forest
Bologna is reportedly showing renewed interest in Napoli-owned striker Lorenzo Lucca, who is expected to return to the Stadio Maradona after a six-month loan spell with Nottingham Forest.
Bologna Reignite Interest in Lucca
According to Gazzetta, Bologna has reignited its pursuit of the Italian forward. The Rossoblu previously targeted the former Udinese striker four years ago and again during the recent January transfer window.
In 2022, Lucca chose to join Ajax from Pisa, bypassing an offer from the Stadio Dall’Ara. Last January, Nottingham Forest secured his loan from Napoli with what was reportedly the most convincing offer.
Gazzetta suggests that Bologna will be open to offers for Thijs Dallinga next summer, with Lucca being considered a potential replacement for the Dutch striker.

Lucca’s loan period at Nottingham Forest, which began in January, saw him score just one goal in seven appearances. Prior to that, he also managed only one goal in 23 games for Napoli during the first half of the current campaign.

While Gazzetta highlights uncertainty surrounding Lucca’s future at Nottingham Forest, earlier reports indicated that the Premier League club would not be making his transfer permanent at the season's end.
