SNK has officially released patch version 2.0.2 for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. This update focuses on resolving a critical gameplay error. Additionally, the Japanese developer has provided a list of identified bugs that will be addressed in future patches or updates.
What bugs in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will SNK address in future updates?
The current update exclusively targets a problem related to the REV Guard. Previously, under specific conditions, characters could exit the block stun state when using this defensive mechanic. Patch 2.0.2 eliminates this behavior, restoring the original functionality of the guard system in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
Furthermore, SNK has shared a detailed list of issues currently under investigation. Among character-specific problems, Hokutomaru’s Kuuha Dan (REV) is noted for not generating power gauge upon impact. Krauser also exhibits unintended behaviors with his Kaiser Wave, and it’s possible for him to cancel a low light attack into a low heavy kick, which is not intended.
Other adjustments SNK will address include fixing visual errors on Steam Deck during the Wolves’ Destiny mode, bugs in the backgrounds of specific stages like Jae Hoon’s and Tizoc’s in training mode, and the absence of connection type icons (wired or wireless) in online match confirmations. Players will have to wait to see which of these issues are resolved in the next update for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, which is expected to arrive with Mr. Karate.
What are the characters for the second season of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves?
- Kim Jae Hoon – This character, the second son of Kim Kaphwan, features a fighting style adapted from Taekwondo. Jae Hoon differs from his brother Dong Hwan by utilizing fire techniques, which bear a resemblance to their father’s moves.
- Nightmare Geese – This character is a variant of the iconic villain. SNK has stated that this playable character has been balanced for gameplay.
- Blue Mary – Although a recurring character in The King of Fighters, the development team has redesigned her to recapture her essence from the Fatal Fury saga. Her combat style leverages her “grappler” characteristics, using the REV Accel system as a primary focus for consistent offense.
- Wolfgang Krauser – The antagonist of the second Fatal Fury installment returns with a 3D visual recreation aimed at balancing his various previous appearances. His design retains the Kaiser Wave as a central technique, respecting the character’s massive scale.
- Mr. Karate – Release May 2026: At EVO Japan 2026, SNK revealed that Mr. Karate III, this time personified by Robert Garcia, will be the fifth character to join Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves this season in late May.
- Kenshiro – Release June 2026: The second season collaboration for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves will bring the protagonist of Hokuto no Ken to fight in the streets of South Town.
