French basketball player Evan Fournier has been suspended from the upcoming game against Panathinaikos and slapped with a €1,800 fine following an incident involving a fan. The disciplinary action also extends to his coach, Giorgos Bartzokas, who was fined €5,000.
The club, Panionios, faced multiple penalties totaling €7,300. These fines included €900 for general abusive slogans, €1,400 for more severe abusive chants directed at individuals, and a substantial €5,000 for a supporter’s inappropriate conduct in the stands near the court.
The specific fan involved in the altercation with Fournier received a written warning, a one-month temporary ban from all stadiums, and the revocation of all existing season tickets, individual tickets, or invitations for the same period.
