Big news keeps coming for Dustin Poirier! Just days after announcing what he plans to be his final walk to the octagon against Max Holloway at UFC 318 in July, the mixed martial arts veteran and his wife, Jolie, shared equally exciting personal news: they are expecting their second child.
Jolie Poirier revealed the happy development, letting fans know their family will grow by one more member later this year. The new baby is due in December, making their daughter, “Sweet P” (Parker), a big sister for the first time.
As Jolie shared in her announcement, “Fight news wasn’t the only secret we were keeping from you… WE’RE HAVING A BABY! Sweet P will be a BIG SISTER FINALLY.”
Known by his nickname “The Diamond,” Dustin Poirier is set to headline the UFC 318 pay-per-view card, which is scheduled to take place in New Orleans. This location holds special significance as it`s close to Poirier`s Louisiana home base.
The fight against Max Holloway will mark their third encounter in the UFC. Their history includes Holloway`s promotional debut fight back in 2012 and a high-stakes interim lightweight title bout at UFC 236. Poirier emerged victorious in both prior matchups.
Holloway comes into this BMF title contest after recently capturing the symbolic belt with a spectacular knockout victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 in April 2024.
