During the second day of Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour 2026, Toei Animation showcased a new trailer for Dragon Ball Super Beerus. The studio also confirmed that Beerus will not be a standard re-release, but rather an “enhanced and expanded” version of the original Battle of Gods arc.
At the panel, Toei representatives announced that this will be a comprehensive reconstruction of Super. The upcoming anime will feature a complete re-rendering of all footage, including new animation cuts and revisions to scenes from the original version. Additionally, the voice acting for Dragon Ball Super Beerus will be re-recorded, accompanied by updated soundtracks and sound effects.
Frieza’s Resurrection
The new trailer for Dragon Ball Super Beerus prominently features the appearance of Frieza in its final moments. This confirms speculation that the project will extend beyond the Beerus confrontation to incorporate the events of the Resurrection of F arc. Masako Nozawa, the Japanese voice of Goku, also confirmed during the panel that the series will cover the battle against the galactic emperor, including material not present in the 2015 television version.
When is Dragon Ball Super Beerus Releasing?
