Preview Domenico Tedesco Reportedly Set for Bologna After Fenerbahce Agreement

Bologna is reportedly close to appointing Domenico Tedesco as their new head coach. Sources suggest that Tedesco is finalizing the terms of his departure from Fenerbahce.

The Italian club is in search of a new manager following Vincenzo Italiano’s decision to leave after two years, during which he secured the Coppa Italia and reached the knockout stages of the Europa League.

According to Sportitalia, Tedesco has settled the final details of his exit from Fenerbahce, with the contract being mutually terminated.

Tedesco Poised for First Serie A Coaching Role

The 40-year-old is expected to sign a two-year contract with Bologna, which includes an option for a third season.

Although born in Italy, Tedesco moved to Germany at a young age with his family and began his coaching career in the youth academies of Stuttgart and Hoffenheim.

His first senior coaching position was with Erzgebirge Aue in 2017. He has since managed Schalke 04, Spartak Moscow, RB Leipzig, and most recently served as the head coach of the Belgian national team from 2023 to 2025.

Tedesco took charge of Fenerbahce last summer, but his tenure there has concluded. The club finished as runners-up to rivals Galatasaray, despite Tedesco overseeing 26 wins, 12 draws, and seven defeats during his time there.
