Former world No. 3 Nikolay Davydenko has shared his thoughts on the recent underwhelming performances of Russian tennis star Daniil Medvedev.
“He has completely lost his confidence,” Davydenko stated during a BB Tennis broadcast. “He`s playing his usual tennis, but it`s evident that this isn`t his best game. He seems to have lost some speed, and perhaps more importantly, his stability. He`s started making more errors.”
Medvedev was defeated in the second round of the Miami Masters in the USA by Jaume Munar of Spain, the world No. 56, with a score of 2-6, 3-6. As a result of this tournament, Medvedev will drop out of the ATP Top 10 for the first time since 2023, falling to the 11th spot in the world rankings.
