Russian tennis players Daniil Medvedev, currently ranked world number nine, and Andrey Rublev, world number 14, have officially entered the ATP 500 tournament set to take place in Washington, USA. The event is scheduled to be held on hard courts from July 21 to 27.
The confirmed list of participants also features several other notable players. Among them are Americans Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Tommy Paul, and Frances Tiafoe. The field will also include Italy`s Lorenzo Musetti, Australians Alex de Minaur and Alexei Popyrin, and Czech athletes Tomas Machac and Jakub Mensik. Roman Safiullin is listed as an alternate for the tournament.
The reigning champion of the Washington tournament is American Sebastian Korda, currently ranked world number 31. He claimed the title last year by defeating Italy`s Flavio Cobolli in the final match.
