Preview Dan Hooker Shares Grisly Hand Surgery Stitch Removal Video

Dan Hooker is on the path to recovery after his recent hand surgery, and he`s sharing his progress.

The UFC lightweight veteran recently updated fans on social media about the hand surgery he underwent. This surgery was necessary due to an injury that unfortunately forced him to cancel his scheduled fight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 313.

In a video shared online, Hooker documented the removal of his stitches.

Hooker had previously posted images of his hand following the surgery. Now, it seems his healing has advanced to the point where the stitches could be taken out. The video concludes with a view of Hooker’s hand, which looks to be recovering well.

Currently, there is no confirmed timeline for Hooker’s return to fighting, and it remains uncertain if UFC matchmakers still plan to book him against Gaethje. Gaethje ultimately faced Rafael Fiziev as a late replacement at UFC 313, winning by unanimous decision and both fighters received a $50,000 bonus for Fight of the Night.

Hooker is keen to get back in action as soon as he can. He is currently enjoying his longest winning streak since 2020, with three consecutive victories. His most recent fight was this past August at UFC 305, where he secured a split decision win over fellow top contender Mateusz Gamrot.
