Preview Conor McGregor Sets Stadium Condition for UFC Return, Calls Out Michael Chandler

MMA icon Conor McGregor, arguably the biggest star in the sport`s history, is once again hinting at a potential return to the UFC octagon. Having not competed in nearly four years, McGregor recently took to social media to outline the primary condition for his comeback bout.

Following the success of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, McGregor posted on Twitter, stating clearly: “I’ll only come back to a stadium.”

This declaration quickly led to speculation about who his opponent might be. McGregor then directly addressed Michael Chandler, rekindling talks of their long-awaited clash. “Iron Mike Chandler. Unfinished business,” McGregor wrote.

Chandler, who was originally scheduled to face McGregor in the main event of UFC 303 last June before McGregor withdrew due to a toe injury, wasted no time in responding. The former Bellator champion signaled his strong interest, replying, “Unfinished business loading….” He further elaborated on other platforms, indicating his readiness: “Dust off the old contract and add some new ink… I’m ready tomorrow.”

McGregor`s extended absence from competition dates back to July 2021, when he suffered a severe leg injury in a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. During this time, the former two-division champion has been active in other ventures, including becoming a part-owner of BKFC and expressing political ambitions in Ireland.

Meanwhile, Chandler is coming off a TKO loss to Paddy Pimblett at UFC 314 earlier this month. The exchange between McGregor and Chandler has reignited hopes among fans that their highly anticipated showdown might finally happen, provided McGregor`s stadium condition can be met.
