World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz, a four-time Grand Slam champion from Spain, has shared his thoughts on reaching the semi-finals of the ATP 500 clay-court event in Barcelona, Spain. In the quarter-final, Alcaraz overcame world No. 7 Alex De Minaur of Australia in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3.
Speaking about the match, Alcaraz admitted, “I had some early struggles with my serve and faced minor psychological challenges as a result. However, I feel I managed to turn things around. I regained my composure and started to maintain a positive mindset. Alex began very strongly, playing with aggression, which made the first set very competitive.” These comments were reported by the ATP press service.
Notably, the 21-year-old Alcaraz is a two-time former champion in Barcelona, having lifted the trophy in both 2022 and 2023.
