World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz of Spain has shared his thoughts on his rivalry with Jannik Sinner. Alcaraz currently holds a 6-4 lead in their head-to-head encounters.
When asked about the possibility of their rivalry becoming a modern-day version of the iconic Nadal-Federer rivalry, Alcaraz emphasized the uniqueness of Nadal and Federer. He stated, “Nadal and Federer are unique and unrepeatable.”
He further commented, “For some time now, Jannik and I have had a wonderful rivalry, and I hope that we will continue to compete for the biggest trophies in our sport for many years to come. This would be a positive sign for everyone.”
Regarding comparisons to the `Big Three`, and specifically who he might resemble or aspire to be like, Alcaraz expressed his aversion to comparisons. “I don`t really like comparisons. Of course, being compared to the three greatest players of all time is a compliment, but I am Carlos Alcaraz and I am simply trying to find my own way,” GQ quotes the tennis player.
