World No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz analyzed his victory over Francisco Cerundolo in the second round of the Monte Carlo Masters (3-6, 6-0, 6-1).
“I didn`t start very well: I made a lot of mistakes and allowed him to step into the court and dominate the rallies. I knew I had to change something, to play more aggressively and show my tennis – drop shots, net approaches, and more active actions. The main change was my return game: I tried to return closer to the baseline and put pressure,” Alcaraz is quoted by the official ATP website.
