Bandai Namco and Tamsoft are developing a new game based on Yoichi Takahashi’s manga, titled Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters. The Japanese developer has released a new trailer confirming the game’s release date, story details, and different edition contents. This announcement coincides with the Japan Football Association’s creation of its own “Blue Lock” initiative.

In anticipation of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, it’s natural to wonder about the release date of Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters. The trailer also revealed several international teams that will be featured in the game’s campaign. In addition to Mexico, Uruguay (with Ryoma Hino), and an updated version of Argentina, the trailer showcases matches against Thailand, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, China, Cameroon, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, and Brazil (featuring Naturezza).
