Six-time Grand Slam champion Boris Becker extended his congratulations to Naomi Osaka following her victory at the WTA 125 tournament in Saint-Malo. This win marked the Japanese player`s first career title on clay.
“Welcome back!” Becker tweeted in response to Osaka`s success.
The German tennis legend also sent congratulations to Casper Ruud for securing his first ever Masters 1000 title.
“The Viking has conquered! Congratulations to Casper. He did it. Remaining composed, Casper played a perfect match and deservedly won,” Becker wrote. “Credit also due to Jack [Draper]. He demonstrated excellent tennis throughout his run to the final. Well done, guys!”
