The official account of the Australian Open has extended its congratulations to the world number seven Russian tennis player, Mirra Andreeva, on the occasion of her 18th birthday. The organization marked the milestone by publishing a video featuring one of her standout moments from the tournament.
Mirra Andreeva reached the age of 18 today, April 29th.
“What a talent, what a player! Happy 18th birthday, Mirra Andreeva,” read the message shared by the Australian Open press service.
Andreeva has been a champion at three WTA tournaments in singles competition. This year alone, she secured victories at the prestigious WTA 1000 events held in Dubai (UAE) and Indian Wells (USA).
Furthermore, Andreeva is a silver medalist from the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in the women`s doubles event, where she partnered with fellow Russian Diana Shnaider. Mirra`s most significant achievement at a Grand Slam tournament to date is reaching the semi-finals of Roland Garros in 2024.
