
The final match of the TGL championship took place on Tuesday night, featuring a face-off between Atlanta Drive Golf Club and New York Golf Club. This was the second game in a best-of-three series to determine the first-ever TGL champion.
Atlanta Drive GC entered the match with a 1-0 series lead after a narrow 6-5 victory against New York GC on Monday. Tuesday`s game saw Atlanta stage a comeback to win 4-3, completing a series sweep and taking home the SoFi Cup.

Cantlay`s Close Missed Putt
Following a missed putt from New York`s Young, Patrick Cantlay had a chance to give Atlanta an early lead on the first hole. His 20-foot putt looked perfect but agonizingly lipped out of the hole, keeping the score tied.
Schauffele Puts New York Ahead
New York broke the tie late in the triples portion of the match. Xander Schauffele hit an impressive first shot on Hole 7, landing the ball within 5 feet of the hole and giving his team a 1-0 lead.
Young Extends New York`s Lead
NYGC built on their Hole 7 score by gaining another point on Hole 8. Cameron Young hit a near-perfect approach shot, placing the ball just 15 inches from the cup. New York opted to use the “hammer,” doubling the hole`s value, but Atlanta declined, conceding just one point to extend New York`s lead.
New York Leads 3-0
New York further increased their lead against Atlanta in the singles portion of the match. Schauffele defeated Thomas on Hole 10, pushing New York`s lead to 3-0.
Horschel Secures Atlanta`s Lead on Hole 14
After gradually reducing New York`s lead in singles play, Atlanta finally took the lead on Hole 14. Rickie Fowler`s first shot landed in the bunker, creating an opportunity for Atlanta to use the “hammer.” Billy Horschel capitalized, sinking an approximately 18-foot putt to put Atlanta ahead 4-3 before clinching the championship on Hole 15.
