In a post shared online, Sabalenka reflected on the match, stating: “`Tough loss today, but proud of how I competed at Roland Garros this year. Hungrier than ever…`” The message was attributed to the world number one.
This loss marks the second consecutive Grand Slam final defeat for Sabalenka. In the championship match of the 2025 Australian Open, the Belarusian player was also beaten by an American opponent, Madison Keys, in a hard-fought contest that finished 3/6, 6/2, 5/7.
