World No. 1 Belarusian tennis player Aryna Sabalenka has achieved a personal milestone at the Miami Open, reaching her fourth final in the first three months of the year for the first time in her career.
This accomplishment comes after a convincing semi-final victory against Italian Jasmine Paolini, the world`s seventh-ranked player. Sabalenka defeated Paolini with a score of 6-2, 6-2 in their recent match at the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami.
Sabalenka`s record for most finals in a year is seven, achieved in 2024. In the Miami final, the 26-year-old Sabalenka is set to compete against the winner of the match between American Jessica Pegula and Alexandra Eala from the Philippines. Their match is scheduled for the night of March 27th-28th.
The current Miami Open women`s champion is American tennis player Danielle Collins.
