Former world No. 11 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has announced the specialists who are part of her current team.
– I recall our conversation after your successful performance at the 2023 French Open, when you had a French coaching team. You then collaborated with three Italian coaches. What has changed since?
– Yes, many changes have occurred. Regrettably, not all coaches are able to travel with a player consistently. Some are, to put it gently, not entirely competent.
– Could you perhaps name the specialists you are currently working with? If it`s not confidential.
– Not at all confidential. Currently, my sparring partner is Yannick Mertens from Belgium. He competed in the Tour for many years and was ranked in the Top 200. I am also assisted by another Belgian, Jos Grevig. He previously worked with Tsitsipas, helping him develop his one-handed backhand. He was with me from Cincinnati to the US Open, and also for the entire pre-season, but after Adelaide, he returned home. Additionally, Fabian Donsbach from Germany is part of my team. He primarily works behind the scenes: conducting analysis and creating my training program. It just so happened that I now have a Belgian-German team, – shared Pavlyuchenkova.
