Preview Amanda Nunes Overwhelmed with Emotion as UFC Hall of Fame Induction Announced

Amanda Nunes, widely considered the greatest female MMA fighter of all time, is officially joining the UFC Hall of Fame.

The announcement was made during the UFC 314 broadcast in Miami, revealing Nunes as part of the 2025 Hall of Fame class, with the induction ceremony set for June 28 in Las Vegas.

Nunes, 36, was present at the Kaseya Center and was visibly moved by the announcement.

“The Lioness” boasts an impressive 23-5 record and dominated women`s MMA from 2015 to 2021. She held titles in two weight classes (135 and 145 pounds) and defeated numerous top fighters.

Her list of victories includes Ronda Rousey, Cris Cyborg, Valentina Shevchenko, Holly Holm, Miesha Tate, and Germaine de Randamie.

Even after a loss to Julianna Peña, Nunes avenged it decisively in a rematch. She retired after defeating Irene Aldana in June 2023.

Despite recent hints at a potential return, Nunes can now celebrate her Hall of Fame enshrinement.

Other inductees for the June 28 ceremony include Robbie Lawler, the Israel Adesanya vs. Kelvin Gastelum fight, and Craig Piligian.

Nunes and Lawler will join other Modern Wing legends like Rousey, Joanna Jedrzejczyk, Georges St-Pierre, and Khabib Nurmagomedov.
