World No. 78, representing Kazakhstan, Alexander Bublik, couldn`t contain his emotions during his first-round match at the ATP 500 clay-court tournament in Munich, Germany.
Bublik, a qualifier, was defeated by World No. 50, Zizou Bergs of Belgium, with a score of 7-6(5), 4-6, 5-7. Notably, the Kazakh player failed to earn a single break point in the decisive set.
Throughout the match, Bublik`s frustration escalated, leading him to smash his racket during a break. He also directed profanity towards his coaching staff.
“What is this? What the ##### is this? Match after match I watch – they don`t receive, why are they receiving against me? Why? Please, #####! Who should I hire? What should I do so they stop returning with the frame on break points? What must I do? I serve at 200-300 km/h, how the ##### are they receiving?” Bublik exclaimed.
